SOLYTE MIDSOLE MATERIAL - A lighter weight midsole compound than ASICS standard EVA and SpEVA. Also features enhanced cushioning and durability. DUOSOLE OUTSOLE - Reduces weight and enhances flexibility while maintaining traction and durability. SLIP LASTING - For lightweight and flexibility. Upper is wrapped and stitched before it is glued to the midsole. RACING SPECIFIC LAST - Built on ASICS racing shoe last.
Used these for the first time yesterday in a 20 mile race. Superlight and fast, not the best option if you're carrying a few extra lbs or if your feet suffer as the lack of cushioning is unforgiving (my feet got sore quite quickly from the pounding) but the fit was good hence only 1 small blister and for a performance shoe I couldn't fault it!
I wanted a flat shoe with minimal frippery for running up to half marathon. After about 100 miles in this shoe, I have to say I am absolutely delighted by the fit, weight and overall comfort. I have tried many shoes from Saucony, Brooks, Asics, Nike even Terra Plana, but this does everything just right. Service from Runners for Runners was excellent.
