The BROOKS BEAST is the ultimate in the control category. It offers a great deal of stability in the heel and metatarsus area, but at the same time shows good flexibility in the forefoot. The Beast is therefore a dynamically runable control shoe. The BEAST is also equipped with full-length DNA and therefore contributes to the individual adjustment of the damping of each runner, with the three decisive anatomical points heel bone, tarsal bone und metatarsus bone resting on Brooks DNA.
I have a veriety of shoes as i generally do a lot of different surface / trail running and found that the Brooks Beast is a very stable but not rigid, extremely cushioned shoe. It is heavier than most typical runners like a Trance or Asics Kayano but if you are after stability you simply cannot go past the Beast!
The service from for runners by runners is exceptional - i would certainly recommend them to anyone downunder buying top shoes at excellent prices. I've already placed my order for a new pair of Brooks Trance!
Having taken a few years off running, due to persistant injuries. All due to being a heavy wieght runner (18stone) Have shed a few pound, now 15stone. Thought i would give it another go, read through the hype on whats best etc. These came out on top for me, so paid my money and back running. They are well made and pretty chunky at 11.5UK size. But the rigidity and stabilisation, is working for me. I overpronate and have a tendancy to run flat footed, when tired.
May just by a second pair soon, so i dont run the risk of having to find an allternative when the model is dis-continued.
