We are proud to support this fantastic charity fun run for a great cause. Please click on the link or see below for some more indepth information.

In the summer of 2005 the two young Grant brothers from our small community in Killowen Village, outside Rostrevor in County Down, were diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Our voluntary group has been fundraising in the locality since shortly after the diagnosis and to date has forwarded £320,000 to Duchenne Research and Action Duchenne (£4,000 per annum).

Since 2007 we have been forwarding $40,000 per annum to Professor Steve Wilton, and Sue Fletcher at the University of Western Australia for their research into Exon Skipping. (including Exon 68). These funds go to the James and Matthew Grant Foundation at the U.W.A, Perth.

Watch out for our blue Action Duchenne charity boxes in all good retail outlets in Newry, Warrenpoint, Rostrevor, Kilkeel, Castlewellan, Hilltown, and Mayobridge. Your 1ps, 2ps, 5ps, 10ps are always very welcome to swell our coffers.
